As promised in my last post, here is the preview of Urban Decay’s new The Vice Palette! And it is GORGEOUS.
I mean, I really swore myself off from purchasing any more eyeshadow palettes, but I really could not let this one slide by! The packaging, the colors, the exclusivity… It was just irresistible. After the jump, more pictures and sample swatches!
So as you can see, the box is so very luxe. It’s very velvety feeling, with a jeweled logo and a button to open the palette.
The Vice Palette is 20 brand-new and exclusive to the set colors, using UD’s “new and improved” formula. All the shadows are incredibly luxe and velvety, everything the UD’s shadows are known for. This palette also contains a great mixture of brights and neutrals making it something you can easily use everyday and to turn a day look into an evening one. The Vice Palette retails for $59 and can be purchased here.
The shadows are almost full-sized, weighing in at 0.03 oz each. A regular UD single shadow is 0.05 oz, retailing for $18 each. So doing a little math shows that The Vice Palette works out to $2.95 per shadow. That’s crazy! And that’s not even counting the double-ended brush, which is a lot nicer than the sponge tip applicators you usually see.
These are great, right? This is how UD describes the colors: Desperation (greyish taupe brown matte-satin), Muse (dark reddish brown w/golden and multidimensional shimmer), Jagged (matte black base w/gold metallic), Blitz (bright gold metallic), Penny Lane (bronze metallic w/gold glitter), Junkie (dark green-blue w/gold shimmer), Chaos (vibrant royal blue w/very subtle shimmer), Unhinged (electric turquoise blue metallic), Occupy (dark grey-blue metallic), Black Market (dark charcoal black matte-satin), Provocateur (light greyish pink w/lots of multidimensional glitter), Rapture (dark greyish purple w/multidimensional shimmer), Vice (dark eggplant w/subtle red shimmer), Noise (dark reddish-pink metallic w/big gold glitter), Armor (greyish brown metallic w/silver micro-glitter), Nevermind (light taupey-brown shimmer), Echo Beach (light wheat-champagne shimmer), Anonymous (light whitish-pink nude matte), Freebird (light peachy-pink w/silver micro-glitter) and Laced (pinky-taupe matte).
I can’t even pick a favorite because I really do love them all. I can’t wait to play around with it, especially all the blue shades!
Have a great week, ya’ll!
