Chambray and Pearls

Chambray shirts really seem to be EVERYWHERE these days. I’ve seen it on the fashionistas, the preppy set, hipsters…  definitely a trend that’s intrigued me, but I wasn’t sure how I could pull it off. I knew I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it, though. In the last few years, I’ve strayed away from button-up shirts because they never quite fit right (buttons and boobs just don’t mesh well). But I found this pearl snap chambray shirt for about $20 at Target and even though I had to get larger size, I didn’t feel like I was wearing a tent.

So I brought it along to my weekend jaunt to Houston and wore it to my cousin’s Little League baseball game. It was cool and comfortable, but I still felt like I had a bit of style and best of all, I didn’t flash anyone!

Hotel mirror pic, woohoo!

Chambray shirt, Target; Skinny jeans, New York & Co.; Boat shoes, Old Navy; Pearls, old; Key & lock necklace, Tiffany & Co.; Rose gold watch, Versona.

I finished the look with some NARS makeup: Lhasa lavender gray eyeshadow and Roman Holiday pastel pink lipstick.
